Our
Story

Hi my name is Madison,

I was born and raised in beautiful Southern California. Once I graduated high school, I moved to Utah to attend Utah Valley University. While I was in Utah, I did what most college kids do… and I got a puppy. He was a chiweenie (Chihuahua and Weiner dog mix) and he was the cutest puppy I had ever seen. At the time I was a lifeguard at the Provo Beach resort, and worked many hours to help pay for college. I felt terrible leaving a puppy home all day and I couldn’t continue to do so. I ended up finding a job at a Dog hotel where I was able to bring my puppy to work! I quickly worked my way up in the hotel and was able to learn a lot about dogs through this experience.

During my time in Utah, I met an individual named Sheri. Sheri was an older woman who decided to breed her two Huskies. When the puppies were born, she realized fairly quickly that she had a lot of work ahead of her. She came to me to ask if she could hire me to help her take care of the puppies along with finding them homes. She had no clue where to market her litter, besides word of mouth, friends, and neighbors. I started to post for her on various sites, and social media pages.

We ended up finding homes for her litter of 8 puppies within 3 days. This was such an amazing experience for me, and I learned a lot about caring for puppies, and the crucial stages of training and socializing puppies right off the bat. From there, she introduced me to a vet that helped give all of her puppies vaccinations. He mentioned that several puppies come in from shelters, or families that need to rehome them and they had always struggled to find homes. This then led me to work closely with him and foster puppies for him while marketing them on social media and various websites. Slowly but surely, this grew into what It is today!

I have built relationships with hundreds of families, breeders, vets, rescues, etc in Utah and California. I am now back in California and have worked with hundreds of families in the area. So how does It work? A few different ways. One way is a family will reach out to me, and they are looking for a specific breed and I will reach out to my connections, or do my own research to help find that specific breed. From there I charge a small fee to do so for my time, and make sure the puppy is the right fit for them! Another way is a breeder will reach out to me to help find homes for their puppies. It could be their first litter, or they have bred a couple of times, and they just don’t know how or where to market their puppies. I then will meet the breeder in person at their home to see where the puppies are coming from and if they are coming from a safe environment.

We do not work with any sort of puppy mills or breeders that are doing this as a full-time career. From there, I take the puppies to my home after they are 8 weeks old and make sure they are up to date on their vaccinations and are healthy puppies ready to be placed with good families. This has been so enjoyable for me, and the people I have met along the way are truly the best. I also have been able to bring my 2 lifelong friends into this for a little extra help and they have fallen in love with the process. I hope this gives you more insight into us and what we do!

Thank you for reading! Madison
